Econatur Fruits (EFS) is not just a brand: it is the continuation of a lifetime devoted to citrus. The project was born in Albalat de la Ribera (Valencia) and draws directly on the experience of a family that knows every link in the chain, from the root of the tree to the shop counter.
Agustín Giner spent his whole life growing oranges on his own land. He took Valencian produce to Catalonia, running a fruit and vegetable stall at Mercabarna, and in recent years worked as a wholesale orange buyer — a master who knows the pulse of supply and demand in detail.
The care for the final product comes from Josefa Sifre. For years she worked in orange warehouses as a packer, a traditional trade in which skill and a trained eye make sure only the best fruit reaches the customer intact.
Today that legacy carries on. After growing up among fields, orange crates and wholesale markets, the family merged all that traditional know-how with a modern, digital outlook. That is how Econatur Fruits was born: to take the work of a lifetime from the tree to your table, with no middlemen.
Managing Director and founder
The technical backbone of the company. He built a solid industrial career with 7 years as Maintenance and Production Manager at the automotive multinational Metaldyne, and 5 years running his own installations firm (Giner y Latorre C.B). In 2011 he channelled that experience into process optimisation, automation and team management to found Econatur Fruits, turning the family farming legacy into an agile, modern distribution operation.
Head of Administration and HR
She safeguards internal rigour and financial health. With over 20 years in accounting — more than 8 of them at Idai Nature S.L. (natural agricultural inputs), where she handled treasury, taxes, risk and human resources — her organisational skill and command of asset management keep the operation solvent, efficient and transparent.
Financial and strategic advisor
External technical support and a growth outlook. A former corporate banking executive specialising in corporate finance and agri-food strategy. He holds an Executive MBA from ESIC and further specialisation at MIT; his external role keeps the financial structure robust, solvent and geared to sustainable growth.
Production Director
He brings operational solidity after two decades leading production, logistics and sales at Matías Colom, a well-known family firm in the sector. His know-how ensures maximum efficiency when handling large volumes.
Warehouse administrative assistant
She brings technical rigour after working for major names in the sector such as Bollo International Fruit and Juan Motilla, specialising in cost-sheet quality control, labelling and marking. Her trained eye ensures every orange meets the most demanding standards, while also supporting internal administration.
